Maryland medical cannabis certification.
A $89 telehealth evaluation with a Maryland-licensed Family Nurse Practitioner — built around an individualized assessment of your health, not a high-volume approval line.
Certification vs. registration
A written certification from us is different from your Maryland Cannabis Administration (MCA)patient registration. Registration is how the state adds you to the program; certification is a licensed clinician's written determination that medical cannabis is appropriate for your condition. You need both before you can purchase from a dispensary — see how the full process works.
Who qualifies
Maryland recognizes a range of qualifying conditions, including chronic or severe pain, PTSD, severe nausea, seizures, and persistent muscle spasms, among others. See our FAQ for the full list, or start your evaluation and we'll talk through whether your condition qualifies.
What's included
- A ~15–20 minute telehealth visit to review your health history and qualifying condition
- An individualized conversation about whether medical cannabis is an appropriate treatment option for you — not a rubber-stamp approval
- A review of your current medications for potential interactions with cannabis
- A written certification, if appropriate, submitted using your MCA Patient ID
- Guidance on next steps for purchasing from a licensed Maryland dispensary
Common questions
Do I need to register with the state before my visit?
You don't have to wait for your Maryland Cannabis Administration (MCA) registration to be approved before scheduling — the two can happen in parallel. You will need your MCA Patient ID by the time we submit your certification, though.
What if I'm not approved during my visit?
If we determine medical cannabis isn't an appropriate fit for you, there's no charge for the visit. We'll talk through why, and what other options might make sense.
How soon can I use cannabis after certification?
Once your written certification is submitted and your MCA registration is active, you can purchase from any licensed Maryland dispensary right away.
Is a first-time online evaluation as thorough as an in-person visit?
Yes — the telehealth format doesn't shorten the clinical review. We cover the same health history, medication review, and condition discussion we would in person.
